A club with NO dues and NO meetings!
Would YOU devote one mass one day each month to pray for past, present and future of Church vocations to the religious life?
You and 30 others can ensure that masses are offered in the name of church vocations 365 days a year.
Let us join together, as a Catholic community, to pray that those, whom God is calling to serve His church, in the Diocese of Cleveland, in this very special way, will have the courage and fortitude to answer His call and to be faithful to his/her vocation.
Each member chooses one date of the month that is easy to remember (ex. birthday, anniversary). Each month for the next year, offer Mass on that day for Church vocations. Pray for past, present, and future priests, religious sisters, brothers and deacons who serve St Sebastian parish. If you miss your chosen date one month, the nearest convenient date is fine.
Join by signing up on the calendar in the vestibule of the Church or call Louise Hellwig at 330-864-6057 or E-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
Serra Prayer for Vocations: O God, who wills not the death of a sinner, but rather that he be converted and live, grant we beseech You through the intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin, Saint Joseph, her spouse, blessed Junipero Serra, and all the saints, an increase of laborers for your Church, fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls, through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
Sponsored by the Serra Clubs of the Cleveland Diocese. Serra International is a global organization of Catholic laymen and laywomen which began in 1935. Their mission and ministry is to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and vowed religious life through prayer, awareness, affirmation, and support. Through this ministry they further their faith. In the Cleveland Diocese there are nine Serra Clubs, which are organized geographically. The Serrans sponsor the annual Where Are You Going? retreat in the diocese. For more information about the Serrans, see www.serraus.org.
"The harvest indeed is great but the laborers are few. Pray, therefore, to the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers."
