90th Anniversary Parish Photo Directory

In honor of our Parish's 90th Anniversary, we will be offering a Parish Photo Directory for parishioners. All participating families will receive a free 8x10 photo of their favorite pose as well as a complimentary directory. Save The Date: The Keller Consort, Sunday September 30th, 4PM in Zwisler Hall. Come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon concert and learn about the music and instruments of the wonderful time period. Also, Singers Companye performs Vibrant Voices, Choral Gems in a Splendid Space on Sunday, October 14th at 5PM in the Parish Church.

Young Adult Group - Book Club and Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap - Wednesday, October 10th at 7:00 pm, at the Harbor Front Grille & Party Center Akron, Theology on Tap welcomes all young adults to come listen to Emily K. Whiting, Catholic Speaker and Writer. She will speak on "Theology of the Body: GOd's Incredible Design for Relationship." Admission is $5 and includes appetizers. The bar will be open for those who would like to purchase beverages.

 

Book Club - Come join St. Sebastian Parish's Catholic Young Adult Book Club. The group will be reading short stories by Flannery O'Connor and discussing it every other Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Byrider Hall meeting room beginning September 10th..   Theology on the Rocks - Food, Fellowship and Faith for Adults     

SAVE THE DATE: Monday, September 17th at D'Agnese on White Pond Drive, Fr. Valencheck, Pastor, St. SEbastian Parish in Akron will be speaking on, "To Judge a Book by it's Cover: How to Read Liturgical Art, Statues and Heraldry." at 7:00 p.m., appetizers and presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and a cash bar will be available.

New parishioners are most welcome and should phone the rectory or fill out the online form at the Become a Member page as soon as possible in order to schedule an appointment to register. Current parishioners who must leave us, should call the rectory with your date of departure. We'll miss you and bid you God's blessings.
