REVIEW PROCESS

When all required documents have been submitted, the admissions team will review to determine if the applicant has met St. Sebastian Parish School criteria. St. Sebastian Parish School seeks to admit any student who displays success in their current academic environment, is disciplined and exhibits St. Sebastian behavioral standards, whose parents/guardians, as the primary educators, are vested in the faith formation and educational process in a God-centered community. Prospective students meeting these guidelines will be invited to continue the application process.

Both admission and continued enrollment of a child in the school are generally subject to the school's Handbook guidelines, although the Principal has the discretionary authority to not accept a student whose academic record or conduct does not meet St. Sebastian Parish School’s standards.

TERRIER VISITS

Students applying for Grades 1-8 will spend 2-3 shadow days in the classroom of their peers. This enables the incoming students to experience what a day is like at St. Sebastian Parish School. Specific grade level assessments may be given during the visits. This allows the teacher’s get a sense of the student’s learning style and personality.

Families will also meet with the principal to discuss the school and any questions related to curriculum, expectations, transportation, and the needs of the applicant.

ENROLLMENT DECISION

After the shadow visits, the admissions team will meet again to make a final determination as to the enrollment decision for your child. All data will be considered just as we take a whole-child approach for the education of our learners. It is possible that a student may be put on a wait list for classes that are at or near capacity, and parish families have first priority in cases where class space is limited. After completing the application process and student visits, you can expect to hear back from St. Sebastian Parish School within two-four weeks.

REGISTRATION

If your child is accepted, the next steps are to create a FACTS tuition account and complete other registration materials found in your Final Forms account. These additional forms will need to be completed along with paying the $150 registration fee per family. This fee is non-refundable and will be billed through FACTS tution account. Financial opportunities and scholarships can be applied for at this step in the process. Welcome to St. Sebastian Parish School!
