HOW TO MAKE A SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

If for any reason you are unable to receive Holy Communion, the Church and her saints have always recommended the practice of making a spiritual Communion.  Our goal is to grow closer to God and this prayer can be used to draw us closer to that goal.  If you are at our parish and unable to enter, you can make this prayer looking through our front glass doors toward Jesus in the tabernacle.

My Jesus,

I believe that You

are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
