Father's Bulletin Letter 5.26.24

May 23, 2024

Greetings,

Next weekend is Corpus Christi weekend. Following the 9:00am Mass next Sunday there will be a Eucharistic procession around our property. Even if you will be attending another Mass, please consider coming back for this procession which will take place at approximately 9:45am. As we do this, we offer public witness to our belief in the Most Holy Eucharist, giving thanks for our many blessings and asking God for His continued protections of our parish and that there be a flourishing of her ministry.

IN OTHER NEWS:

NEWLY ORDAINED AND SEMINARIANS: There have been lots of surprises on our altars recently. Last Saturday morning, newly ordained Deacon Ryan Arto and Deacon James Parisi helped at Mass and Deacon Parisi preached. Over the weekend, Deacon Arto joined us again and so did Deacon Kyle Rosser. Monday morning, the newly minted Fr. Micheal Garvin from St. Hilary, concelebrated and preached for us.

Seminarians have begun showing up for the summer. Christopher Villarreal and John Scantling have moved in. Conner Trout will be living at St. Paul with Fr. Pfeiffer this summer but working here. Next week, Simon Park will also be moving into our rectory. Please keep them and all our seminarians in your prayers.

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES! This coming Thursday our eighth graders will be having their graduation ceremony. As you prepare to enter into high school, I look forward to your continuing worship at Mass and I hope that those of you who serve feel encouraged to remain ministering at our altar! Congratulations and know of my prayers.

That Thursday is also our last day of school. Thank you faculty, students, parents and supporters for another fantastic year at your nationally recognized, award winning Catholic school!

Thank you also to our hard-working PSR catechists and all our students for another year of growing in the Lord. I look forward to praying with you over the summer until we begin classes again in the fall.

WELCOME HOME COLLEGE STUDENTS: Welcome back home students. It is also wonderful to see your faces again as you return to your hometown and parish for the summer. Many blessings on you.

MEMORIAL DAY NEWS: There will be our annual Memorial Day Potluck Breakfast this coming Monday. Mass will be at 9:00am and breakfast will immediately follow. See elsewhere in this bulletin for more details.
