There is a Parish Potluck Dinner coming up on Saturday, September 24th, following the 4:30pm Mass. If you will be not be attending Mass on Saturday, plan on coming to the potluck around 5:15pm. The cost is to bring a covered dish! The main dish will be provided and you are asked to bring a side dish. There will be more details in next week’s bulletin. It is a great way to feed a large, hungry family, meet up with friends, or to just take a night off from cooking and cleanup! It is also a great opportunity to find ideas for side dishes if you are in a rut! Hope to see you then!

IN OTHER NEWS:

LABOR DAY MASS: Mass on Labor Day, Monday, September 5th, will be at 9am.

OFFICES CLOSED: The parish offices will be closed on Monday for Labor Day.

EUCHARISTIC DEVOTIONS: Our Annual Eucharistic Devotions are coming up next weekend. If you are able to adopt an hour it would be most helpful. It is important that we have someone present in the Church at all hours while Our Lord is exposed on the altar. It would be even better if we could have a minimum of two persons per hour. Sign up sheets are located on the altar rail in front of the Blessed Virgin statue. The hours to be covered follow the 11am Sunday Mass and continue day and night until the closing ceremonies beginning at 7pm on Tuesday evening.

If you cannot adopt an hour, it is also a great thing to stop by when you can, for as long as you can, as often as you can. If all that you can muster is to stop in and say, “Hello and thanks,” as you drop off the kids at school or are on the way to work or are jogging by, it is a far greater thing to pop in and out than to not visit at all. The Eucharist, a Person, is at the center of our parish and faith life, and this is our recognition of it and our time to offer our gratitude.

Did you know that every parish is supposed to have Eucharistic Devotions and that the dates for each parish’s celebration are determined by the diocese? This is so that every week there should be a parish in our diocese offering praise and thanksgiving to Our Lord Who saves and feeds us. It is the Eucharist that binds us together as the Church of Cleveland and the world and this is our opportunity to take part in this special way of marking our devotion and appreciation.
