Sheena Mason
Sheena Mason began her dance training at the age of 3 at Pam Fubler's Movement Lab. She continued her training at the Dance Institute, Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts, The Akron School for the Arts at Firestone High School, and Bowling Green University.
Sheena's dedication to the art of dance has led her to a career of teaching ballet, modern, tap, hip hop and jazz dance to all ages. She taught dance for 9 years at the City of Akron's Northwest Recreation Center, the University of Akron, Cleveland State University and Akron's Weathervane Playhouse. Sheena has also done choreography for numerous dance troupes and companies.
Sheena has served on the board of the Friends of the Akron School for the Arts for the past eight years. In October 2013, she opened Sheena's Platinum Movements dance studio in West Akron, Here she offers dance instruction in a non-competitive studio in a welcoming environment where every student can learn, be confident and above all have fun.
